CORE was contracted to migrate a commercial product from a legacy minicomputer environment to a modern Web-enabled application that would ensure business viability for the future and enable integration with other critical business applications. The migration involved approximately 1000 screen interface programs and over 100 batch update programs.
In addition to the design recovery and forward engineering of the product, CORE was awarded an additional contract for migration and manual coding of over 100 modules.
CORE provided the Project Management and technical resources to complete the project in accordance with the strategic plan. During the project CORE provided ten (10) resources working in various technical project areas.
CORE worked with the client to develop a strategic plan and vision for the company that would take advantage of the benefits and improvements generated by a migration to a Web-enabled application. CORE also worked closely with the client to re-engineer internal processes to take advantage of the new platform and Web environment.
CORE defined and documented the development objectives for the project strategic plan, provided course development and training for maintenance and future enhancement related issues.
