CORE was contracted to migrate a business-critical Forestry Management application from a legacy minicomputer environment to a modern Web-enabled application that would ensure business viability for the future and enable integration with other critical business applications. The migration involved approximately 600 screen interface programs and over 100 batch update programs as well as the design and implementation of an Oracle database to support the application.
During the project CORE provided 13 resources working in various technical project areas.
CORE not only provided an assessment of an existing host-based legacy application, but also migrated that mission critical forestry application to Web-based technologies allowing the Government of Ireland to ensure fulfillment of its mission vision and business objectives for the forestry department of Ireland.
CORE provided strategic planning services to establish processes related to Quality Assurance and Implementation procedures; including data conversion, performance, maintenance, and support.
